About Mary

Even before she began her legal career, Mary was introduced to VA disability law through classes and legal clinics during law school. Learning about the camaraderie and culture of the military inspired her to join the Army as a Judge Advocate after graduating.

As an active-duty Army Judge Advocate, Mary built a broad litigation background representing the Army in a wide range of matters. From prosecuting criminal cases in the 82d Airborne Division to defending cadets facing Honor Boards and disciplinary proceedings at the United States Military Academy, she learned that every case carries consequences that extend far beyond the courtroom. Those experiences sharpened her advocacy skills, strengthened her ability to navigate complex legal issues, and reinforced the importance of treating every client with dignity, respect, and unwavering commitment.

After leaving active duty, Mary returned home to Florida, where she continues serving in the Florida Army National Guard. In her civilian practice, she came full circle by returning to VA disability law: first representing veterans through a pro bono legal clinic, then co-founding MJ Law Group with Jimmy.

At the heart of Mary's practice is a simple belief: no one fights alone. Every veteran, every service member, and every family who has borne the weight of service deserves an advocate who treats their case the way she would treat her own family's: with meticulous preparation, honest advice, and the determination to stay in the fight for as long as it takes.
