Privacy Policy

Information we collect

The Site is a marketing and information site. It does not require an account, does not sell products, and does not host a client portal. We collect information in two ways:

• Information you provide. When you use our contact form or email us directly, you provide your name, email address, phone number, preferred method of contact, and a short description of your matter. Providing this information is voluntary.
• Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic request-level data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamp) for security and operational purposes. We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and understand which pages visitors find useful. It reports totals only, sets no cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect information that identifies you personally. We do not use advertising trackers or non-essential cookies. If this changes, we will update this Policy before the change takes effect.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit through the contact form solely to respond to your inquiry, schedule a consultation, and conduct a preliminary conflicts check. We do not use your contact information for marketing, and we do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

Third-party service providers

Contact form submissions are delivered to our firm email through FormSubmit, a form-relay service. FormSubmit processes the form data to route it to our inbox; it does not use the data for other purposes. Our email is hosted by our email provider, which stores messages you send us according to its own privacy practices.

Confidentiality and attorney-client relationship

Sending information through the contact form or by email does not create an attorney-client relationship with MJ Law Group, and information you send before we have agreed to represent you may not be protected by attorney-client privilege or the attorney work-product doctrine. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information until we have confirmed, in writing, that we have opened a matter for you and completed a conflicts check.

Data retention

We retain contact form inquiries only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and, where a representation results, to maintain the client file as required by professional responsibility rules. Inquiries that do not result in representation are retained for a limited period to conduct future conflicts checks and then deleted.

Your choices

You can choose not to submit information through the Site. If you have already submitted information and would like us to delete it (subject to any professional obligations we may have to retain records), contact us at team@mjlaw.group.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Last updated” date at the top of the page. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
